TKTSAPP Scanner Privacy Policy

How the TKTSAPP Scanner app handles staff identity, camera access, event assignments and ticket scan records.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to TKTSAPP Scanner, the staff application used by authorized organizers, managers, administrators and event-scanning staff to validate tickets for real, in-person events at physical venues.

TKTS APP is operated under Jumpers Agency, which is responsible for the platform's software development, operation, finance and commercial administration. Jumpers Agency VAT Registration Number: 762634405. Registered contact address: 51 Hay El Diplomaseen, Sheikh Zayed, Giza Governorate 11865, Egypt.

2. Information the Scanner app processes

To provide secure event access operations, the app may process:

  • staff account information, including your name, work email, assigned role, organizer and permitted event or session scope;
  • secure sign-in and security information, such as session tokens, two-factor-authentication status, device/app version, IP-address-derived security signals and login audit records;
  • camera input solely while you choose to scan a QR code; the app uses the camera to decode the presented ticket or temporary event-login QR and does not intentionally record video, photos or audio;
  • ticket validation data needed for entry operations, such as the signed QR payload, event/session scope, validation result, scan time and limited ticket identifier; and
  • operational diagnostics needed to prevent abuse, investigate duplicate scans and keep the service reliable.

The app does not ask for or store payment-card details. It is not a buyer ticket wallet and does not provide staff with buyer phone numbers, email addresses, payment references or full ticket custody data unless a separately authorized web-dashboard function lawfully requires it.

3. Why we use this information

We use this information to authenticate authorized staff, apply organizer and event permissions, validate entry safely, prevent duplicate or out-of-scope scans, maintain an audit trail, support event operations and protect the platform from fraud or misuse.

Scan decisions and ticket status are determined by TKTS APP's server. A local device or network display is not authoritative for payment, ticket ownership or admission rights.

4. When data is shared

Information is shared only as needed to operate the service: with the relevant organizer and authorized team members, hosting/security providers acting for TKTS APP, and public authorities or advisers where legally required or reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, safety or the protection of rights.

Organizer workspaces show privacy-limited operational information. They must not use the Scanner app to collect, copy, photograph, disclose or otherwise misuse attendee information.

5. Device permissions and security

Camera permission is optional, but required to scan QR codes. You can decline or revoke it in device settings; scanning will then be unavailable. The application communicates over encrypted connections and uses server-side authentication and role/event scoping. No technical control can guarantee absolute security, so keep your device locked, do not share your password or temporary event-login QR, and sign out from shared devices.

6. Retention and your rights

We retain staff, security and scan records only for as long as needed for event operations, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention and legal obligations. You may ask to access, correct or request deletion of eligible personal information by contacting hello@tktsapp.com. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or necessary to protect the service and event attendees.

7. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app, service or applicable legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page. For privacy questions, contact hello@tktsapp.com or use the official Contact Us page.
